The William & Mary Student Intellectual Property Society hosts its annual Intellectual Property Law Symposium on Friday, October 28th. The Symposium will highlight a discussion on design patents and their utility in Intellectual Property Law as well as opportunities for students to learn about the Intellectual Property initiatives at William & Mary Law School. 12:00 PM Student Lunch Panel with SIPS Students (discussing our experiences at William & Mary Law School and in summer programs)
1:00 PM Symposim - Design Patents: Are They Necessary?
4:30 PM Reception
The Symposium speakers will include Chris Cotropia (Director of the Richmond Law School's Intellectual Property Institute), Matthew Zacherle (Senior Designer at WestRock), Garth Rademaker (a USPTO Design Patent Examiner), and Maya Eckstein (a partner at Hunton & Williams LLP specializing in design patents) to cover perspectives from varied legal professions.
